Accommodation
There is accommodation for 38 resident, which is provided by 34
single rooms of which 28 are en-suite and 2 shared rooms. All rooms
are equipped with a vanity unit. There is a communal dinning room,
two comfortably furnished lounges, which overlook a pleasant garden.
A life is available to access the first floor. There are ample toilets
throughout the house and thermostatically controlled central heating
in all rooms. The decoration and maintenance of the building is
at a height standard and our own staff undertakes daily cleaning
of rooms.
Laundry
We have a laundry on site however residents can make alternative
arrangements for their personal laundry if they so wish.
Meeting Standards
We meet the standard laid down by the national care standards commission
also the west midlands fire service.

The philosophy of care for the clients at Wellelsley House Nursing
Home is as follows:

enabling them to retain their personal dignity irrespective of the
severity of any physical or mental infirmity.
We respect and accept their social, emotional,
religious, cultural and political persuasion bearing in mind the
rights of others.
We endeavour to provide a high standard of holistic
care for all clients and to maximise independence for as long as
possible using, A charter of rights for older people in the nursing
home as a normal good practice.
Staff
Here at Wellesley House we are committed to quality nursing care.
Our nursing manager ensures that the care provision is at a high
standard. She is ably supported by highly qualified experienced
nurses and care staff. An ongoing training programme ensures staff
are constantly updated on current good practice.
Care staff are encouraged & supported in gaining NVQ qualifications.
Each resident has an individual care plan that includes health,
personal & social care which is reviewed on a monthly basis.
Maximising the residents independence where appropriate is a key
objective, facilities and equipment are provided to promote activities
of daily living & mobility.
